viking

北欧と言って連想されるものは多いけど、勇壮なヴァイキングもその１つでしょう。
ここのＶｉｋｉｎｇＭｕｓｅｕｍには、ノルウェーで発掘された２つの完全な船が展示してあって、１０００年以上の時を経て、目の前で当時のままの姿を見る事ができます。
説明によると、死者を埋葬する時に船を陸に上げて、そのまま副葬品と共に地中に埋めるらしく、発見当時の写真を見ても、木製の船にもかかわらず、１０００年間も地中にいながら随分と元の姿を保っていたようです。　オーク材を使っていたようで、特に驚いたのはその曲線の美しさ。　板を何枚も重ねて作ったその滑らかな曲線は、モダンと言ってもいい程で、ソリなどの船に積んでいた道具類も、その彫刻や装飾の美しさには驚きます。

今日はこっちに来て初めて太陽が出た１日で、出たとは言っても一番日が高いところで夕方前のような感じ・・・。　それでも気持ちがいいので、前回行かなかったVigelandsparkenという彫刻公園へ。

広い園内にはヴィラーゲンという人によるユニークな彫刻が２１２体、彫刻に刻まれた人間の数はなんと６５０体もあって、シンボルの１７メートルの花崗岩の塔には１２１体もの老若男女が刻まれているそうです。　どれも不思議で意味深そうな彫刻ばかりなのですが、その中で一番有名なのがシンナターゲンと呼ばれる怒りん坊の像。　うっかりしてると見落とすような、橋の影にあって、他の像のインパクトのせいで、特に感心するようなものでもなかったけど、とりあえず有名なのでツーショット。

今日も観光に仕事に忙しい１日。

　

it was the first day i saw the sun when i woke up.

today was also the one show day so i took a bus and went to a viking museum. there is 2 big viking ship and they were builded around 800A.D. one of ship was for some queen and when she died, people put her body inside of the ship and put whole thing into the grave and it was there for over 1000 years. its really amazing to see a 1000 years old wooden ship and the shape of the ship is like an art. it wasn't a big museum and many things to see but still it was cool.

since there was a sun, i went to a famous sculpture park (Vigelandsparken). there is 212 sculptures and a main sclupture is a 17m high tower made by 121 of peoples sculptures. it is kinda freaky looking but very unique. last picture is the most famous statue in this park called "Sinnnatagen".
